Mr. Herman attended law school at North Carolina Central University School of Law, graduating magna cum laude in 2013. During law school, he served as a law clerk for The Honorable Judge Robert C. Hunter on the North Carolina Court of Appeals and was a Senior Editor on the North Carolina Central Law Review. Mr. Herman previously worked at Moore & Alphin, PLLC, where he focused on residential real estate transactions. He also represented new home builders and developers in contract negotiation, land development, and governance of homeowners associations. Prior to law school, Mr. Herman worked in real estate finance as a Mortgage Loan Officer for State Employees’ Credit Union.
Mr. Herman is an occasional speaker on real estate and related matters. He also sits on the North Carolina Secretary of State’s Land Records Task Force, a forum for various stakeholders to discuss the future of real estate records in the state. Mr. Herman is a member of the North Carolina Bar Association Real Property Section and the Real Estate Lawyers Association of North Carolina (RELANC). He also serves as member of the Hillsborough Board of Adjustment.
