Our firm regularly advises public housing authorities and private clients on Housing Choice Voucher (also known as Section 8) project-based, tenant-based and homeownership program requirements, including issues related to administrative plan, participant eligibility, termination of assistance, housing quality standards, Agreements to Enter into Housing Assistance Payments Contracts and Housing Assistance Payments contracts. Our firm has offered creative solutions in assisting public housing authorities to develop its homeownership programs to include Housing Choice Voucher homeownership assistance to help very low income families achieve homeownership. We have represented public housing authorities and other affordable housing clients in fraud cases involving recipients of Housing Choice Voucher assistance, and had successfully litigated such matters in court. We have also represented public housing authorities in disputes with landlords who participate in the Housing Choice Voucher program.
