Mr. Pristell graduated with honors from North Carolina Central University with a Bachelors of Arts Degree in English Literature and a minor in Philosophy. Mr. Pristell received his Juris Doctor Degree from Loyola University Chicago.

Mr. Pristell’s areas of concentration are public finance, affordable housing and community economic development, higher education and non- and for-profit corporations. He routinely represents public housing authorities (in all areas of their operations) and non-profits, as well as state and local municipalities in connection with public/private partnership economic development projects and bond issuances. He also represents colleges and universities, including university-related foundations, involved in student housing transactions. Mr. Pristell has conducted trainings and taught seminars on subjects pertaining to bond issuances, North Carolina Public Records and Open Meetings Laws, corporate governance, conflicts of interest, municipal affiliates and PHA compensation restrictions.   Mr. Pristell is licensed to practice law in North Carolina, Virginia, Georgia and the District of Columbia. He is listed in the “Red Book” as an experienced municipal bond attorney and is a member of the National Association of Bond Lawyers. As a shareholder and principal of the firm, Mr. Pristell is involved in all aspects of client representation for which the firm is engaged.
