Katherine Wilkerson focuses her practice in the areas of commercial real estate, title matters, affordable housing, and community economic development.  She also handles land use, zoning issues, and business matters.  She regularly gives talks and presentations on real estate issues.  She is an active member of the North Carolina Bar Association, currently serving on its Board of Governors.  She is a member of the Real Property Section and is a former Chair of the Section.

Prior to joining the firm, she practiced with a business and commercial real estate law firm in Raleigh where she gained wide ranging experience in the areas of retail and office development. Outside of her law practice, she is active in the Triangle Commercial Real Estate Women and serves on boards for the Moravian Church in America, Southern Province. She is also interested in local politics and is particularly passionate about public school funding.

Katherine graduated from Smith College with a degree in History and from the University of North Carolina School of Law with a Juris Doctor degree.  She is a North Carolina native who grew up in Wilmington.  She has lived in Raleigh for many years with her family.
