Mr. Tarbet has extensive experience in creating unique estate plans for individuals that aid their families, friends, and beneficiaries in times of loss.  He understands the tax ramifications and tax planning techniques available to lessen the tax burdens on the transfer of wealth between generations.   He can design and explain complicated and sophisticated planning techniques in a manner that is easily comprehensible.  

Mr. Tarbet and his wife have eight children including five children adopted through foster care.  In 2017, their oldest daughter unexpectedly passed away at the age of 13.   Prior to their daughter’s death, Mr. Tarbet had worked with hundreds of families in establishing and/or administering estate plans.  After the death of their daughter, Mr. Tarbet has a different perspective and understanding of the importance and need for a good estate plan to allow the family time to heal and process the loss.  Although death and loss will be a part of all our lives, he understands that a good estate plan should be designed to reduce the bumps in the transition to the new normal.

Mr. Tarbet received a Bachelor of Arts in Asian Studies from Brigham Young University, his Juris Doctor Degree from the University of Iowa College of Law, and a Master of Law in taxation from the University of Washington School of Law.
