Katherine Wilkerson is a highly experienced attorney specializing in commercial real estate, affordable housing, and community economic development. A recognized expert in title matters and adept at handling transactions, she provides strategic legal counsel to developers, investors, and businesses navigating complex real estate issues.
A leader in the North Carolina Bar Association, Katherine has served on its Board of Governors and as Chair of the Real Property Section. She is also actively engaged in the commercial real estate and affordable housing sectors, participating in Triangle Commercial Real Estate Women and the Forum on Affordable Housing of the American Bar Association. In addition, she has served on multiple boards for the Moravian Church in America, Southern Province, including the Provincial Support Services Board where she served as chair and the Raleigh Moravian Church Board. She also serves as a fundraising volunteer for the UNC School of Law.
Before joining The Banks Law Firm, P.A., Katherine was a partner at a respected business and commercial real estate law firm in Raleigh, where she gained extensive experience in retail and office development.
A North Carolina native, Katherine grew up in Wilmington and has lived in Raleigh for many years with her family. She earned her A.B. in History from Smith College and her Juris Doctor from the University of North Carolina School of Law.
