Stefan Maletic is an associate at the Durham office of The Banks Law Firm. Mr. Maletic focuses his practice on affordable housing and commercial real estate matters. He has experience drafting real estate documents for first time home buyers participating in the affordable housing programs of North Carolina cities, as well as advising cities on matters related to HOME programs and HUD regulations. Mr. Maletic’s work frequently involves drafting deeds, deed restrictions, termination agreements and lien subordination agreements. He also drafts leases and purchase agreements for commercial real estate transactions. Finally, Mr. Maletic has experience in conducting title searches on commercial properties and closing loans for federal credit unions.
Before joining the Banks Law Firm, Mr. Maletic interned in the Chambers of the Honorable Judge Christopher Dillon at the North Carolina Court of Appeals and worked as a Summer Associate at Roberts & Stevens in Asheville, North Carolina. He is licensed to practice law in North Carolina and is a member of the Wake County Bar Association.
Mr. Maletic graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree from Furman University in 2016 and received his Juris Doctor from the University of North Carolina School of Law in 2021. At Carolina, Mr. Maletic was an articles editor on the North Carolina Journal of Law and Technology.
