The Banks Law Firm, P.A. (“TBLF”) is thrilled to announce that Toni Jackson has been recognized in the 50 Over 50 Women of Influence in Affordable Housing. This prestigious honor celebrates builders, mentors, and steady leaders. These women have paved the way for the next generation of industry leaders.
Ms. Jackson is a distinguished transactional attorney whose more than 30-year career reflects a “perfect marriage” of legal excellence and community service. This expertise extends into her civic leadership, where she has served on the boards of Houston Habitat for Humanity, the Land Assemblage Redevelopment Authority, and currently, the Texas Southern University Foundation. Toni has also served as board chair for the ABA Forum on Affordable Housing and Community Development Law and the Texas Affiliation of Affordable Housing Providers (“TAAHP”). TAAHP recognized her with the Jean MacDonald Lifetime Achievement in Affordable Housing Award. She advances mentorship and the arts through The Links, Incorporated, JazzHouston, and alumni leadership roles. She also leads alumni efforts for the University of Virginia and Thurgood Marshall School of Law. Toni advises for-profit and nonprofit developers, as well as public housing agencies. She brings deep expertise in complex mixed-finance transactions, tax credits, and HUD regulations.
Toni’s influence extends far beyond the closing table. She helps shape housing policy across multiple states by crafting Qualified Allocation Plans (QAPs) that guide housing resource distribution. She provides oral and written testimony before state agencies and municipalities. Through this work, she helps shape industry standards to meet the needs of low-to-moderate-income families.
TBLF congratulates Toni on this well-deserved recognition and thanks her for her decades of leadership, her commitment to diversity, and her unwavering dedication to the affordable housing community.
